Grok Bot wants to choose the best AI for you

An announcement made today about Grok Bot really caught my attention. 🤖
Elon Musk says that Grok Bot will now use the best available model for the task at hand, even if that model comes from another company.
Among the services mentioned:
- Claude Opus 5.5;
- Midjourney;
- Suno;
- and possibly other specialized APIs.
The idea would be simple: I ask my agent for something and it picks the best tool to get it done.
🎵 “Arty, I have an idea for a song”
Let’s take a very concrete example.
I currently use Suno to make music.
But in the way I work with agents, I also have Arty, my bot that handles my artistic creations.
Tomorrow, I could simply chat with him:
“Arty, I’m feeling like a musician today. I have an idea for a song…”
We talk.
We develop the idea.
We work on the theme, the style, the mood and the lyrics.
Then Arty could decide that Suno is the best tool to produce the song.
He would hand over the fruit of our work and come back with the result.
I wouldn’t really need to think anymore:
“Now I have to go into Suno.”
I would simply talk to Arty.
🧠 I choose the agent, not necessarily the AI
That’s the shift I find especially interesting.
Today, we often choose for ourselves:
- ChatGPT for this;
- Claude for that;
- Suno for music;
- Midjourney for an image;
- another service for something else.
The model announced for Grok Bot flips that logic.
I give the work to my agent.
Then it could choose the best engine for each step.
A bit like when I hand a project to someone: I don’t necessarily tell them which software to use for each step.
What I mostly want is the result.
💰 What about my subscriptions?
That might be what excites me the most.
Today I pay for several subscriptions to different AI services.
If Grok Bot really lets me indirectly access several of the best services based on my needs, I could potentially cut the number of AI subscriptions I pay for directly by a lot.
⚠️ Careful: that’s not what has been announced yet.
We don’t know yet:
- the pricing;
- the usage limits;
- which models will actually be available;
- the terms tied to outside services;
- or how data will flow between them.
But if the promise comes true, the change could be big.
🍳 The simple version
Today:
Me → I choose the AI tool → I do the work
Tomorrow:
Me → Arty → Arty picks the best AI → result
And that may be where AI agents become truly interesting.
I don’t necessarily want to know which AI to use for each task.
I want to be able to tell my agent:
“Here’s what I want to do. Take care of it.”
And let it choose the best tools to get there.
If Grok Bot really pulls that off, my collection of AI subscriptions could start shrinking seriously. 🤖
