Published

Apple has just unveiled HomeView, a new smart display designed to make it easier to manage your home and access digital services.
The device combines a touchscreen, facial recognition and a new generation of Siri powered by artificial intelligence.
🏠 A display for the whole family
With its 7-inch screen, HomeView can sit on a piece of furniture or be mounted on the wall.
Among other things, it lets you:
- control compatible lights, thermostats and locks;
- check your security cameras;
- listen to music;
- make FaceTime calls;
- check calendars and reminders;
- talk to Siri.
HomeView can recognize up to six family members and adapt what it shows depending on who is standing in front of it.
🤖 A new generation of Siri
HomeView features Siri AI, a more conversational version of Apple’s voice assistant.
The goal is to make interactions with your home’s devices and services feel more natural.
For example:
“Siri, what’s on my calendar today?”
Or:
“Turn off the living room lights and close the blinds.”
Some advanced features may require a device compatible with Apple Intelligence.
🔐 Privacy and security
Apple highlights several data protection mechanisms:
- facial recognition to personalize the experience;
- encryption of supported information;
- access controls for personal data;
- integration with the security features of the Apple ecosystem.
Some features may require communicating with online services.
🇨🇦 Price and availability in Canada
HomeView will be available in Canada starting November 13, 2026.
- Starting price: CA$429
