Ten minutes behind the wheel, a project takes off

In short

In the car, I talked with my agents. A few minutes later, my project was written down, organized, and the research had started.

Cover: an idea spoken out loud behind the wheel, shared among four agents

In short: in the car, I chatted for 10 to 15 minutes with Boss, one of my agents, about a new project. He questioned my ideas to help me sharpen them. At the end, I gave my agents four tasks, all at the same time. A few minutes later, the project was written down, organized, and the research had started. All of that just by talking.

An agent is an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant with a specific job. I have several of them, a bit like a small team. To learn more, read What is an AI agent? and Why several agents instead of one chat?.

A real conversation

I was driving, so writing was out of the question. I simply talked to Boss, the agent that coordinates all my other agents.

He didn’t just take notes. He asked me questions and challenged my ideas. After 10 to 15 minutes, I saw my project much more clearly than when I started.

Four tasks, all at once

At the end of the call, I asked my agents to get to work. Each one took their part, in parallel:

  • Brainy, my memory, created the project page in my digital notebook, in a few minutes.
  • Projy, who keeps track of my projects, wrote down the decisions made (10), the risks (7) and the next steps. He also noticed, without me asking, that this project looks like another one of my projects.
  • Cloudy, my cloud architect (he chooses where and how to set up my applications on the Internet), started studying the best technical options.
  • Boss researched one of the project’s challenges and came back to me with his conclusions.

Meanwhile, I was driving.

What it changes

Before, an idea that came to me while driving stayed in my head until I had time to write it down. Often, I forgot it along the way.

This time, the drive became work time. The idea was discussed, questioned, written down, and the research started before I even arrived.

What surprised me most was Projy spotting the link with my other project. In a hurry, I would surely have missed it. He knows all my projects, so he saw it right away.

Conclusion

I didn’t type a single line. I talked, my agents listened, asked questions, then split up the work.

The project doesn’t exist yet. But in the time of one car ride, it went from a simple idea to a real project, with a plan and research underway. I’ll tell you what comes next when the time is right.
